Cuando no entiendes la información de viaje
En estaciones, aeropuertos y hoteles es frecuente necesitar una repetición más específica. Could you say that again, please? pide repetir el mensaje; Could you spell that for me? sirve para nombres, calles o códigos; y Could you write it down? es útil cuando el ruido o la pronunciación dificultan entender una dirección.
Para confirmar que entendiste una instrucción, puedes reformularla: So I need to change trains at Oxford, right?. Esta estrategia evita errores sin fingir comprensión. Si hay un retraso, pregunta por la consecuencia concreta: Will I still make my connection? o What are my options if I miss the connection?. El vocabulario cambia según el medio de transporte, pero la estructura comunicativa es la misma: confirma lugar, hora, siguiente paso y alternativa.
